Our Story
In 2017, at just eight years old, Daegan Jacobs launched Shaggy Shakes with a heartfelt mission. Inspired by a desire to help others, Daegan decided to use his love for milkshakes to support a cause he deeply cared about. He chose to raise funds for the Zadie Project, an initiative dedicated to feeding underprivileged children/families in the Atlanta area.
Daegan set up a small stand outside Souper Jenny's, where he began selling his unique, handcrafted shakes. With a few basic ingredients and a blender, he created a range of delicious flavors, all while passionately promoting his cause. His efforts quickly gained traction, and the community rallied around his initiative.
The success of Shaggy Shakes allowed Daegan to raise significant funds for the Zadie Project, making a real difference in the lives of local children and families. His entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to giving back turned a simple idea into a powerful force for good, demonstrating that even young innovators can make a meaningful impact. Daegan is now 15 years old and has a booth every Saturday at the Sandy Springs Farmers Market!
